Benefits of Ayurveda

Ayurveda, meaning, knowledge of life, is a traditional Indian system of medicine required to maintain a balanced life through holistic healing. This system of medication has originated in the pre-historic era and evolved over thousands of years. The knowledge of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic therapies are applied majorly in general wellness nowadays. The therapies involved in Ayurveda are mostly based on complex compounds available in the nature in its purest forms for example, herbal medicines and the medicines derived from metal and mineral substances. Ayurveda also includes surgical procedures carried out vigilantly by experienced practitioners.

So, now you may think how does Ayurveda benefit us humans? It mainly helps maintain the humoral balance. We’ll help you understand what humoral means. Our bodies have immune responses that involve secretion of antibodies and circulation of the body fluids. Humoral relates to or is a part of this immune response. Ayurveda gives importance to this and stresses on balancing the body humor because holding back the natural urges of the body leads to an unhealthy lifestyle which further leads to illness. There are three elements in Ayurveda – Vata, Pitta and Kapha. They are also called the ‘Doshas’. At Green Gram Wellness Village, emphasis is given to living a balanced life that means these doshas need to be balanced for maintaining good health. This in turn means that an imbalance in the doshas leads to rise in diseases. At Green Gram Wellness Village you will be able to maintain an equilibrium in these three elements in the body hence achieve vitality by building a strong and healthy metabolism through Ayurvedic medicines and therapies, Yoga Asana, Meditation and Sattvic Diet, (wholesome diet).
